FOA at the Oceans Action Day - COP24

Isabel Torres de Noronha, President of FOA, will report the results of the event “Under Pressure: Adapting to Climate Change in Ocean and Coastal Zones under 1.5ºC of Global Warming” at the High Level Closing and Looking Ahead, Summary Event during the Ocean Action Day at COP24.

The Oceans Action Day at COP 24 will be held in Katowice, Poland, at the International Congress Centre on Saturday, December 8 from 10:00–20:00, and is made up of five segments:

10:00 to 13:00 Marrakech Partnership Ocean and Coastal Zones Action Event (Lubelski Climate Action Room 3)

13:30 to 16:30 The Oceans and Climate Nexus: Addressing Major Issues (Japanese Pavillion)

1. New Scientific Findings

2. Adaptation and Displacement

3. Ocean Content of NDCs and Ocean Financing

13:15 to 14:45 Actions on Ocean Acidification-The Other CO2 Problem (Room Narew (Area G))

17:00 to 18:30 High Level Closing and Looking Ahead (Pacific Pavillion)

18:30 to 20:00 Reception (Pacific Pavillion)
